In January this year I started my journalism cadetship at the Mansfield Courier and Mt Buller News.

I  made the move from Torquay to Mansfield and have loved every moment gaining practical hands on experience in a regional newsroom developing a strong network of contacts.

After completing my studies at the end of 2023, I graduated with a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) from Deakin University Waurn Ponds in February. 

Throughout my cadetship I have had the opportunity to cover a range of local news rounds including sport, council, community, education and Mt Buller news.

Surman Finds Her Home at the Cattery
